Corydon is the county seat of
Wayne County and this is their courthouse. Clearly one of the newer courthouses, this building is prominent on a classic square. Just to the north on the square is a nice bandshell with several park benches with family names "monogrammed" into the backs; they're pretty typical weatherproofed pierced steel benches but they were manufactured with holes that spell out names, assumably of contributors. Some of them are clearly in better locations: closer to the stage or located under a nice shade tree. One of the benches
had a great location under a nice big tree until recently; the tree is now gone and the large, grass level stump that remains doesn't give much shade.
