Linda and I took a walk around Ames and found this little gem in Bandshell Park. A nicely designed tribute to the arts in the north west quadrant of the park, this is certainly an eye-catcher. Designed by
William C. Culbertson and installed in 2004, it's a very nice addition to the park.
In the center stands Creativity, who holds in her hand the seed of inspiration. Surrounding her, the medallions represent five ares of human expression: visual arts, literary arts, musical arts, dramatic arts, and athletics.
